Summary

Tests were performed on Asia bell roots, concerning storage temperature (0 or -2 °C) and different kinds of packages inducing or not inducing modified atmosphere. Results are discussed in terms of shrinkage, weight loss, sprouting and colour. Lance Asia bell root storage was best at lower temperatures (-2 °C) in combination with needle hole perforation treatment for large-unit packaging or with commercially-made zipper bags for small-unit packaging.
