A CALCULATION SCHEME HAS PREVIOUSLY BEEN REPORTED FOR PREDICTING AIR BLAST COOLING OF SPHERICAL FOOD PRODUCTS (SEE REV. INT. FROID/INT. J.REFRIG., N 3, 1986/05, 158-160 THIS WAS BASED ON THE OBSERVATION THAT THE COOLING EFFECT OF PRODUCT DESICCATION IS SIGNIFICANT DURING THE INITIAL STAGES BUT BECOMES NEGLIGIBLE LATER. THIS WORK WAS EXTENDED SO THAT THE CALCULATION SCHEME CAN ALSO BE USED FOR CYLINDRICAL PRODUCTS.
