Summary

HALF COOLING TIMES WERE DETERMINED FOR FORCED COLD AIR AND SPRAYED COLD WATER. RESULTS FOR FORCED COLD AIR WERE: 163, 86 AND 62 MIN, AND FOR SPRAYED COLD WATER: 40 AND 25 MIN. OTHERWISE, TESTS WERE PERFORMED TO ESTIMATE THE HIGHEST COOLING RATES OF SWEET CORN, IN A THOROUGHLY AGITATED COLD WATER BATH, AND TO DETERMINE THEIR < EFFECTIVE > THERMAL DIFFUSIVITY COEFFICIENT.
