DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESERVATION IN LIQUID NITROGEN OF RAPIDLY GROWING GENOTYPES. FIRST OF ALL, THE CELL SUSPENSIONS ARE STRONGLY DEHYDRATED BY HIGH SORBITOL CONCENTRATIONS. AFTER SIX MONTH STORAGE, 19% OF THE COLONY FORMING CAPACITY IS STILL MAINTAINED. THE GROWTH CHARACTERISTICS AND THE CHROMOSOME NUMBER DID NOT CHANGE.
