Pressure drop of water flow in rectangular microchannels.

Author(s) : SOBIERSKA E., CHMIEL K., KULENOVIC R., et al.

Summary

Experimental investigations on fluid-mechanics phenomena of water flow in vertical microchannels have been carried out. The experiments were performed with de-ionized and degassed water for different mass fluxes and heat fluxes. Investigations on pressure drop and heat transfer under adiabatic and diabatic conditions during single-phase flow have been carried out. The experimental results of the single-phase pressure gradients were compared with the predicted data from a conventional theory.
