Summary

The optimal fruit maturity at harvest is very important. The optimal harvest-window is determined by several quality parameters. In Israel, growers store their crops in large regional packing-houses, hence, to optimize fruit handling a great volume of data has to be analyzed by a packing-house. The paper describes a relational database PriACCESS developed to facilitate the local packing-houses in their task. PriACCESS is created on the platform of Microsoft Windows '95, ACCESS-7. It is designed to accumulate and to analyze data in real time, at the pre harvest, postharvest and poststorage stages.
