Summary
The paper presents a new type of air-conditioning system, a radiant air-conditioning system with liquid desiccants, which measures independent humidity control and could prevent dew on the surface of radiation panels in hot and humid climates. By using this system, the latent load of the building will be removed by the dry air, which is dehumidified using LiCl-H2O solution. The cycled water, which is cooled in the procedure of the dehumidified dry air's direct evaporation cooling, will remove the sensible load. This new type of system has all the advantages of a radiation air-conditioning system, such as energy saving, thermal comfort, and it could avoid dew. What's more, this system does not need additional water chilling units, so that it would reduce the preliminary investment. In addition, energy recycling and the use of solar energy are also considered.
