Summary

This Forum was held in November 1992, in Lyon, France. The first volume, entitled "Technological developments" includes the papers presented on the following topics: refrigerants, mastering recovering methods, analysis of R502 replacement solutions, replacing R12 with R134a in commercial refrigerating plants, thoughts on how refrigeration systems and replacement solutions have changed due to the limited use of CFCs and HCFCs, future developments in refrigeration systems, replacement refrigerants, hermetic compressors, technological changes in finned coils, control, the VRV system. The second volume deals with vocational training in refrigeration, and the third one with the European markets for refrigeration.
