THE AUTHORS REPORT THE VARIOUS ENERGY REQUIREMENTS AND DESCRIBE THE REFRIGERATION PLANT AND WATER PRODUCTION. A MICROPROCESSOR CONTROLS THE FILLING OF THE HOT WATER TANK AND ACTS ON IMMERSION HEATERS. TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC DATA AND THE RESULTS OF MEASUREMENTS ARE GIVEN FOR TWO DAYS OF OPERATION OF THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE, ONE IN WINTER, THE OTHER IN SUMMER. THE COSTS OF 1 M3 OF HOT WATER FROM THE VARIOUS PROCESSES ARE COMPARED. THE AUTHORS COMPARE RESULTS WITH PREDICTIONS. L.R.
