Summary

Food irradiation dosimetry can be conducted following the NF-EN 552 standard which has been published for the control of the radiation sterilization of medical devices. In fact, this text can be used in the field of radiation processing of food provided that some minor changes are made on the control of some important parameters and the values of the absorbed doses (equal or superior to 10 kGy), the heterogeneity of these doses, the temperatures during irradiation and storage, etc.
