Summary

Sensory, physical, biochemical and microbial quality were investigated in mackerel fillets stored under CO2 modified atmosphere packaging at -2 deg C for 21 days. Packaging gas composition remained constant during storage. It was found that CO2 modified atmosphere packaging storage at -2 deg C can maintain Grade 1 shelf-life extension for higher than 21 days.
