Summary
This transformer can upgrade the temperature of waste heat with little electricity. It can be used as an alternative technology to CFCs. It is powered by waste heat. Part of the waste heat whose temperature is upgraded will be reused in industrial processes, and other part will be rejected to low temperature heat sink. The authors decided to adopt the transformer to reduce the consumption of the initial energy source and to raise the energy efficiency in a solvent factory. Three design schemes have been worked out.The flowlines, COP, and performance are described and analyzed.
