REFRIGERANT-ABSORBENT MIXTURES BASED ON THE REFRIGERANT R134A.

Summary

DIFFERENT ORGANIC ABSORBENTS WERE CONSIDERED FOR COMBINATION WITH 1,1,1,2-TETRAFLUORETHANE (R134A). THE ENTHALPY CONCENTRATION DIAGRAMS FOR R134A AND DIMETHYLACETAMIDE (DMAC) AS THE ABSORBENT ARE GIVEN AS AN EXAMPLE. THE PERFORMANCE OF THE INVESTIGATED REFRIGERANT-ABSORBENT PAIRS WAS CALCULATED BY A COMPUTERIZED SIMULATION PROGRAM BASED ON AN ADVANCED SINGLE STAGE ABSORPTION CYCLE. THE PERFORMANCE OF R134A-DMAC IS SLIGHTLY INFERIOR TO THAT OF R22-DMAC. FOR A GENERATOR TEMPERATURE OF 110 DEG C, AN EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE OF -5 DEG C AND A CONDENSER TEMPERATURE OF 32 DEG C, THE COP IS ABOUT 0.52.
