VISCOSITY AND DENSITY OF REFRIGERANT ABSORBENT AT ELEVATED TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE.

Summary

THIS PAPER FOCUSES ON MEASUREMENTS OF THE DENSITY AND VISCOSITY OF WORKING FLUIDS AS A FUNCTION OF THE WEIGHT FRACTION AND TEMPERATUREIN THE PRESSURE RANGE OF THE WORKING FLUIDS FOR ABSORPTION SYSTEMS. THE MEASURING APPARATUS, METHODOLOGY AND POLYNOMIAL EQUATIONS EXPRESSING THESE PROPERTIES ARE DESCRIBED. BY USING THE PROCEDURE AND THE METHOD INTRODUCED DURING THIS WORK, THE DENSITY AND THE VISCOSITY OF THE PURE COMPONENTS AND THOSE OF THE ABSORBENT-REFRIGERANT SOLUTION AS A FUNCTION OF THE TEMPERATURE AND THE WEIGHT FRACTION CAN BE CALCULATED IN THE WHOLE RANGE OF WEIGHT FRACTION (0-1) AND TEMPERATURE. THE DENSITY AND THE VISCOSITY OF 1,1,1,2-TETRAFLUOROETHANE-DIMETHYLACETAMIDE, R134A-DMAC, WERE MEASURED AND THE FINAL RESULTS ARE PRESENTED GRAPHICALLY.
