Summary

Besides the refrigerant selection as a so called direct part, also the energy consumption is quite important as indirect part of the TEWI. Reasonable refrigeration production procedures, various compressor technologies, selection of the suitable refrigerant and also the adjustment of the refrigeration capacity onto the actual requirement (capacity regulation) should be taken into account critically, whereas also future development projects, such as CO2 as refrigerant will be included.
