Summary

GENERAL PROPERTIES OF FLUOROCARBON REFRIGERANTS SUCH AS R12, R22 AND R502 AND THEIR SOLUBILITY TO LUBRICATING OIL ARE DESCRIBED. DIPOLE MOMENT OF THE REFRIGERANTS AND BONDING STRENGTH OF C-F, C-CL ARE CLOSELY RELATED WITH THE SOLUBILITY OF THE REFRIGERANTS. IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE SOLUBILITY, PROPANE IS ADDED TO R502 OR AROMATIC LUBRICATING OIL. NON-AZEOTROPIC MIXTURE REFRIGERANTS ARE INTRODUCED. THEIR FEATURES ARE USED TO IMPROVE COP AND DEVELOP NEW REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS.
