Summary

REFRIGERATION OIL EMPLOYED IN THE STUDY IS AN ALKYL BENZENE-BASED SYNTHETIC OIL. THE MEASUREMENTS WERE CARRIED OUT BETWEEN 283 AND 333 K (10 AND 60 DEG C) FOR BOTH R12-OIL AND R22-OIL MIXTURES USING THE SAME REFRIGERATION OIL. CORRELATIONS THAT INTERPOLATE THE EXPERIMENTAL VAPOUR PRESSURES WITH AVERAGE PRESSURE DEVIATIONS OF 0.21% FOR R12-OIL SYSTEM AND 0.42% FOR R22-OIL SYSTEM ARE REPORTED. A CALCULATION METHOD BASED ON A THEORY OF VAPOUR-LIQUID PHASE EQUILIBRIUM WAS TESTED FOR THE SYSTEMS USING THE PRESENT EXPERIMENTAL DATA.
