The paper reviews refrigerant consumption in the agro-food industry, sector-by-sector, based on surveys by FICUR, CEMAGREF, the "Revue Générale du Froid" (92.10 and 94.03) and the "Revue Pratique du Froid" (96.12). General cost problems in replacing CFCs in France are discussed.
