Type of excerpt: Other
Summary
The paper gives a summary of several regulations decided or proposed in Europe for refrigerants, in comparison to the Montreal Protocol schedule. However, future prospects for refrigeration are not only determined by international and national regulations. Many more efforts and phenomena play a role. These relate to the developments with regard to the ozone layer, the international UNEP assessment process under the Montreal Protocol, the Multilateral Fund under the Protocol, the marketplace, and last but not least the refrigeration sector itself. All these aspects are briefly dealt with.
