The themes were the following: status of refrigerant phaseout; near-term solutions (field experiences with CFC substitution; automobiles, a refrigerant producer's perspective; chillers; refrigeration; recent developments in the design of new refrigerant mixtures for existing and future systems); issues related to refrigerants (flammability: global warming); some long-term solutions: hydrocarbons; the promise of fluoroiodocarbons: ammonia systems. Some of the papers will be abstracted in a future issue of the IIR Bulletin.
