Summary
THE PRODUCTION OF PROTEO-VITAMINIZED COMPOUNDS FROM PARAFFINS REQUIRES A HIGH REJECTION OF HEAT AT A LOW TEMPERATURE LEVEL: 293 TO 303 K (20 TO 30 DEG C) AND A HIGH CONSUMPTION OF HEAT BETWEEN 338 AND 353 K (65 AND 80 DEG C). IN THESE CONDITIONS, THE USE OF A HEAT PUMP IS APPROPRIATE SINCE IT MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO STABILIZE THE TEMPERATURE OF THE FERMENTING BIOMASS TO THE OPTIMAL LEVEL. THE ANNUAL CAPACITY OF A PRODUCTION UNIT IS THEN INCREASED BY 12 TO 15%. THE REPORT DESCRIBES THE THERMAL LOAD OF A PRODUCTION UNIT AND THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HEAT PUMP. THE AUTHORS EXPLAIN WHY THEY SELECTED BUTANE AS THE REFRIGERANT.
