Type of article: Article
Summary
The new products of a number of manufacturers or assemblers of equipment, covering a full range of sizes, are reviewed. In the listing are complete chilled water units, water or air compressor units, with or without a condenser, liquid vessel condensers, air conditioning units, etc. It is important that the devices presented are designed to function with the new CFC replacement fluids (mainly R134a and R404A). For high power equipment and leading manufacturers, a return to ammonia techniques must be noted although with some variations: plate exchangers, direct expansion, ammonia-miscible oil. This listing of companies is nevertheless not fully comprehensive.
