Type of article: Article
Summary
Technical problems with refrigeration of food supplies in passenger trains and during transport to the train are described. Two semi-open adsorption systems based on the combination water-zeolite as working fluid and adsorber are presented; they meet the special requirements of the food transport chain between catering firm and on-board galley. The distinct economic and ecological advantages of these novel adsorption systems are discussed.
