Summary
Research has been done on refrigerants in jet refrigeration systems driven by low-grade thermal energy. The thermodynamic properties of R141b, R123 and R11 were compared, using the PR equation of state; the thermodynamic calculations for R123 and R141b were completed and experiments on jet refrigeration were conducted. The results of these theoretical calculations and experiments indicate that R141b is a better refrigerant in such refrigeration systems.
