Summary

Width, length, volume, average weight, flesh firmness, total soluble content (TSS), titratable acidity, starch and pH values of fruit samples picked at 5-day intervals were determined. During the fruit ripening stage, fruit dimensions and total soluble solid (TSS) contents increased, and fruit flesh firmness, starch and titratable acidity values decreased. The results show that the optimum harvest date was between 10 and 20 October. Fruits could be stored for 6 months at 0 °C and 85-90% RH.
