Research on the performance of a water-vapour compression refrigerator.

Author(s) : YUAN W., YUAN X.

Summary

In the paper, a new kind of refrigerator with a centrifugal compressor and water vapour as refrigerant is studied and analysed. With varied evaporation temperatures of 7 °C, 10 °C and condensation temperatures ranging from 35 °C to 40 °C, overall COPs of three different water-vapour compression refrigerators were computed using the assumption of water vapour being compressed along isentropic process or polytropic processes with performance of other key components in the refrigerator remaining the same.
