Respiratory and compositional changes of kiwifruit cultivars during air atmospheres storage at 0°C.

Summary

The storage performance of kiwifruit was evaluated during cool storage at 0°C in a free from ethylene atmosphere, during a two year study. Respiration rates, production of ethylene, shelf life, composition and quality attributes were measured during storage at 3-week intervals. Changes in soluble solids and flesh firmness were the most remarkable among the characteristics measured.
