Results from ARI's R22 Alternative Refrigerants Evaluation Program (AREP). Compressor calorimeter and system drop-in test reports.

Author(s) : ARI

Type of monograph: Report

Summary

The reports were prepared by companies from around the world as a part of their participation in the AREP program which attempts to facilitate the transition to environmentally friendly, non-ozone depleting refrigerants by providing manufacturers and the public with accurate performance results, obtained in a consistent manner, for refrigerants and refrigerant mixtures proposed as substitutes for R22 and/or R502. The program has resulted in unprecedented international cooperation among manufacturers of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment. The reports represent the first phase of AREP results. Extract of contents: alternative refrigerants; compressor calorimeter tests; heat transfer tests; system simulations; soft-optimized system tests; research results. New reports will be added after they have been approved.
