Study of liquid and vapour composition of refrigerants during calorimetry.
Author(s) : SUNDARESAN S. G., WATKINS R. J.
Summary
Many of the new HFC refrigerant candidates are zeotropic blends (R400 series). During the product rating and optimization stage of compressor development, capacity, efficiency, and other critical parameters such as discharge temperatures are measured. There is still confusion and uncertainty regarding fractionation of refrigerant blends. The paper includes data on liquid and vapour composition differences during calorimetry testing. Three refrigerants with varying amounts of glides are compared.
