RESULTS OF AEROSOL TREATMENT FOR MOULD CONTROL ON PEARS.

Summary

THE AEROSOL TREATMENT, WITH VINCHLOZOLIN OR IPRODIONE, MIXED WITH TBZ, OF COLD STORED PEARS, WAS COMPARED WITH THE DIP TREATMENT OF FRUIT. THE LATTER GAVE BETTER RESULTS, AS IT REDUCES ARTIFICIAL CONTAMINATION BY BOTRYTIS CINEREA TO 3.8%, AGAINST 24.9%. THE INOCULATED CONTROL SAMPLE HAD A ROTTING PERCENTAGE OF 39.6%.
