Type of article: Article
Summary
Trials were conducted in which 50% of the refrigerant in the system was leaked out and the system topped up to full charge with fresh blend; three successive leaks were completed and the performance determined after each top-up. The blend composition changed somewhat with these leaks, but after the third recharge, the refrigeration capacity was only 2-3% lower than that obtained with R12.
