Summary

Originated by open-pollination of Everts, this late-season Prunus persica variety produces non-melting fruit with a yellow-orange ground colour and 20-60% red blush. The skin is of average thickness and moderate pubescence and the flesh is uniformly yellow. Fruits ripen about the same time as those of Ross and Dr Davis. Flowering takes place in early March in Sacramento, California. Rizzi stands out by its potential for extended storage: fresh fruit held in air storage for 8 weeks at 0 deg C and 90-95% relative humidity results in a high-quality processed product.
