Summary

Respirators, protective clothing and extinguishers are explained. They are used in actual or possible incidents of fire, explosion or gas poisoning. It is important to select respirators suitable for the nature of the hazard: including compressed-air open-circuit self-contained breathing apparatuses, supplied-air respirators and gas respirators. It is, of course, important to be familiar with operation of extinguishers.
