Safety-based acid gas treating system for a floating LNG plant.
Author(s) : CHAN I., EATON A., BUCKLES J.
Summary
A two-stage absorber amine system is presented which is designed with sufficiently low heat requirements to enable operation on waste heat only. This allows elimination of fired heaters. In addition, this scheme also provides the opportunity to remove major CO2 and NOx emission sources. The target application is for floating LNG deployment in high CO2 (up to 15 mole %) locations.
