SINCE 1982, TWIN SCREW COMPRESSORS HAVE BEEN USED EXTENSIVELY IN THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS FOR BUSES AND COACHES IN JAPA THE REASON FOR THE CHANGEOVER FROM THE CONVENTIONAL RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR IS BECAUSE THE SCREW COMPRESSOR POSSESSES MANY ADVANTAGEOUS FEATURES, VIZ RELIABILITY, LOW NOISE AND VIBRATION AND IT IS LIGHTWEIGHT AND ROBUST. COMPRESSOR EFFICIENCY HAS BEEN INCREASED BY USING A HIGH VISCOSITY OIL AND A SPECIAL TYPE OF OIL SEPARATOR REDUCES THE AMOUNT OF OIL ACCUMULATION IN THE EVAPORATOR TO AI. PARTIAL LOAD OPERATION IS POSSIBLE BY FITTING 2 COMPRESSORS.
