Summary

This article presents the results of thermodynamic analysis of operation of a two-stage water-to-water cascade heat pump. The heat pump is designed for central heating by exploiting subgeothermal waters in Serbia. The methodology of selecting the working fluids in the cascades as well as selecting the operation mode in order to obtain the best energy efficiency indicators of cascade heat pump operation is shown.
