Self-consistent thermodynamic model for pure fluids.

Author(s) : SILVESTRI E.

Summary

Thermodynamic properties of a pure fluid are physically related to basic thermophysical data. If such basic data can be interpolated accurately enough with mathematical formulae that have certain characteristics, it is possible to develop a complete representation that requires little computational effort with a good degree of approximation with respect to tabulated and internationally acknowledged data, while at the same time maintaining internal consistency. Finally, the possibility to extend the method to the thermodynamic representation of mixtures is explored.
