Summary

SIX COMMERCIAL CARBONATED SOFT DRINKS, IN GLASS BOTTLES AND ALUMINIUM CANS, WERE STORED AT 273.6 K (0.6 DEG C) AND AMBIENT TEMPERATURE AND ASSESSED BY A CONSUMER-TYPE SENSORY PANEL EVERY 3 MONTHS FOR 2 YEARS. WHILE THERE WAS EVIDENCE OF DETERIORATION WITH STORAGE, MORE SO AT AMBIENT TEMPERATURE THAN AT 273.6 K, ALL DRINKS WERE STILL CONSIDERED SATISFACTORY AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE TRIAL.
