SHELF LIFE-QUALITY: A QUESTION OF RELATIVITY.

Author(s) : HERBORG L.

Summary

ALTHOUGH QUALITY IS RELATED TO THE REFERENCE POINT OF THE CONSUMERS, TO THE TYPE OF PRODUCT, THE METHOD OF PACKAGING INCLUDED, AND CONDITIONS DURING DISTRIBUTION AND SALE, AND REGARDLESS THAT QUALITY OF FROZEN FISH IN SOME CASES IS ONLY POORLY RELATED TO THE QUALITY OF THE CORRESPONDING RAW MATERIALS, THERE IS A NEED FOR CONSIDERATIONS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF GENERAL QUALITY AND TO INSTITUTE SHEL IE. THIS SHOULD BE DONE THROUGH A COOPERATION BETWEEN FISHERY, FISHING INDUSTRY, DISTRIBUTION, RESEARCH LABORATORIES AND THE PUBLIC FISH INSPECTION.
