Summary

To solve the heat-exchange calculation problem of the fan coil in the semi-centralized air-conditioning system, through a wet-dry switching method, a heat-transfer model of the fan coil for wet-cooling conditions was designed. Based on the energy balance and heat-transfer principles, a simplification of the heat-transfer model was achieved in which the heat-exchange capacity could be determined simply by the chilled-water flow rate, the temperature of chilled water supplied, and the flow rate and temperature of supplied air as independent variables. By means of a fan-coil unit simulation test, the heat exchange curves in different conditions were obtained. The result shows a higher model accuracy.
