Summary

NUMERICAL MODELLING OF DISCONTINUOUS OPERATING CYCLES HAS BROUGHT TO LIGHT THE PRESENCE OF CERTAIN IRREGULARITIES IN PERFORMANCES. THESIMULATION OF AN INSTALLATION COMPRISING 2 SOLID-GAS REACTORS OPERATING OUT OF PHASE WITH ONE ANOTHER HAS SHOWN THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE PSEUDO-CONTINUOUS OPERATION FROM A SOLID-GAS CHP. THE PHASE CHAINING RULES DEVELOPED HAVE THUSLED TO AN OPTIMIZATION OF THE OPERATING CYCLES. THE PRESENT WORK CONSTITUTES THE BASIS OF OPTIMAL HEAT PUMP CONTROL BY DEVELOPING THE SIMULATION TOOL AND IDENTIFYING THE OPERATIONAL IRREGULARITIES.
