Summary

THE SOLUBILITY OF R22 AND R114 IN JOJOBA OIL HAS BEEN MEASURED IN A WIDE RANGE OF PRESSURES AND TEMPERATURES. BOTH GASES SHOW NEGATIVE DEVIATIONS FROM RAOULT'S LAW. HIGHER SOLUBILITIES FOR R22 CAN BE EXPLAINED ON THE BASIS OF HYDROGEN BONDING WITH THE ESTER GROUP OF JOJOBA OIL. VALUES OF HENRY'S CONSTANT, PARTIAL ENTHALPY, PARTIAL ENTROPY, AND PARTIAL VOLUME OF SOLUTION IN JOJOBA OIL HAVE BEEN DETERMINED FOR BOTH GASES. SOLUTIONS OF R22 IN OIL MAY FIND USE IN ABSORPTION-REFRIGERATION CYCLES.
