Some aspects of the thermal performance of meso-channel heat exchangers.

Author(s) : CUBLESAN V., ILIE A., ILIE G.

Summary

Meso-channel heat exchangers are characterized by high efficiency, a high degree of compactness, low material consumption and very low work fluid charges, as compared to the commonly used heat exchangers. This paper presented the experimental results on one phase flow thermal performances of meso-channels heat exchangers for different operating conditions. It has also been determinated the pressure drops for the water side and the air side. In order to ensure the quasi-state operating regime, the meso-channels heat exchangers was placed inside an air channel, having multiple regulating and control possibilities (means) for the entering air parameters (dry bulb temperature and air flow rate). The experimental results for water was comparing with the results obtained for air.
