SOME CONSIDERATIONS CONCERNING THE OPTIMUM OPERATING CONDITIONS OF REFRIGERATING MACHINERY ESPECIALLY THOSE OF ABSORPTION MACHINES BY USING THE EXERGY CONCEPT.

Author(s) : NOWOTNY S.

Summary

ENERGY LOSSES IN REFRIGERATION CYCLES ARE DUE TO IRREVERSIBLE PROCESSES. THE AUTHOR GIVES SOME RESULTS OF THE STUDIES OF EXERGY ON AMMONIA-WATER ABSORPTION MACHINES. THESE STUDIES AIM TO DETERMINE THE SIGNIFICANCE OF EXERGY LOSS IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE UNIT FOR SEVERAL CIRCUIT VARIANTS AND FOR VARIOUS CONDENSATION AND GENERATION TEMPERATURES, IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE CRITICAL PART OF THE UNIT AND TO OPTIMIZE OPERATING CONDITIONS.
