Summary
The transition from R12 or R502 to R22 and its mixtures is admissible for existing refrigerating plants and does not need long lasting and expensive procedures for cleaning the system. There are some restrictions, however, concerning a change of power demand for compressors, strength of the construction and oil circulation.
