Specific design of a heat exchanger for a functional magnetic refrigeration system.

Number: 1606

Author(s) : CHAUDRON J. B., ELOUAD L., MULLER C., et al.

Summary

Heat exchangers are used for the energy transfer between the AMR and the area to be cooled down or heated up. In the end of the development phase of a magneto-caloric heat pump it is important to understand and to control these latest exchanges in order to adapt them to the needs of the industrial applications. The importance of making heat exchangers suitable for magneto-caloric devices will be presented in addition to the simulations and experiments carried out on these heat exchangers to maintain the energy balance within the magneto-caloric system.
