Summary

THE SPECIFIC HEAT C OF PD(X)PT(1-X)3FE ALLOYS ORDERED IN A FACE-CENTERED CUBIC LATTICE IS INVESTIGATED BETWEEN 20 AND 300 K DURING A CONCENTRATION PHASE TRANSITION FROM THE FERROMAGNETIC STATE AT X = 1 TO ANTIFERROMAGNETIC STATE AT X = 0. THE CONCENTRATION AND TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCES OF C ARE DISCUSSED. THE BEHAVIOUR OF C (T, X) IS MAINLY DUE TO ALTERATION OF THE MAGNETIC STATE OF THE ALLOYS. A POSSIBLE TYPE OF POLYCRITICAL POINTS ON THE PHASE TRANSITION LINE WITH RESPECT TO THE ANTIFERROMAGNETIC ORDER PARAMETER IS ANALYZED.
