Speed of sound and dielectric constant in the gas phase were simultaneously measured for a mixture of HFO-1123 and R-32 by using a cylindrical acoustic-microwave resonator. Speed of sound was determined from a measurement of an acoustic resonant frequency in the sample gas filled resonator. Similarly, dielectric constant was determined from a measurement of a microwave resonant frequency.
The mixture sample of HFO-1123 and R-32 was composed of 40/60 mass fraction, and speed of sound and dielectric constant measurements were carried out in a temperature range of (303 to 333) K and a pressure range of (200 to 1600) kPa.
