Summary

The single-phase line-start permanent magnet (LSPM) synchronous motor can be applied in the higher efficiency occasion, such as air-conditioning compressor, because of its wide application perspective, it becomes a new hotspot in refrigeration fields. This paper establishes the 2D non-line mathematical model of single-phase LSPM synchronous motor by the time-step finite element method, and simulates and analyzes the starting process of the motor. At the same time, it analyzes several factors affect starting performance on the basis of test results, such as the moment of inertia, the resistance of stator and rotor, the size and parameters of permanent magnet, the starting capacitance, the resistance of PTC, unequal air gap and different winding connection. This paper provides a basis for the optimal design of the single-phase LSPM synchronous motor and improving the dynamic performance of the variable speed system.
