Storage, bulk transfer, and in-plant handling of zeotropic refrigerant blends.
Author(s) : PIECZARKA P., LAVELLE J.
Summary
The refrigerant and air conditioning industries are moving from the use of single component and azeotropic refrigerants to zeotropic blends with varying temperature glides. The paper discusses the potential impact on zeotropic blend composition from various original equipment manufacturer plant operations, such as bulk delivery, storage system design, in plant-handling, and refrigeration equipment charging. The authors examine delivery truck and bulk tank operations using a high glide HFC refrigerant, R407C, as an example.
